Revenue Cycle Informaticist – Full – Time

Status: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Description:
-System Configuration: Design, test, and maintain EHR and billing applications (such as Epic or Cerner) to support registration, coding, and collections.
-Workflow Optimization: Partner with clinical, financial, and health information management (HIM) teams to fix workflow bottlenecks and improve revenue integrity.
-Data Analysis & Reporting: Build financial reports and analyze data metrics to track billing accuracy, reimbursement cycles, and denial trends.
-Training & Support: Serve as the subject matter expert for software upgrades, troubleshooting, and user training.

Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, preferred.
-Experience: 3 to 5+ years working in healthcare revenue cycle operations and data analytics, or clinical informatics, preferred.
-Technical Proficiency: Deep familiarity with EHR revenue cycle modules, SQL, or healthcare database reporting tools. Familiarity with major healthcare platforms, database systems, and data analysis methods.
-Certifications (Preferred): Credentials like CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative), CPC (Certified Professional Coder), or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator).
-Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
-Problem-Solving: Analytical capability to evaluate system errors, optimize layouts, and streamline user experience.
-Must understand HIPAA regulations and privacy of patient information.
-Mandatory Reporting certification required within 6 months of hire
-Must pass background check, physical, drug screen, and TB Test upon hire. Flu vaccine and COVID vaccine or religious/medical exemption are required.
